Quote from: "56008"I honestly can't wait for the game to get released and put this whole mess behind us.

I'm hoping that most critics and users will finally see how mediocre the game truly is and possibly stop Inafune's dream of it becoming a franchise. But seeing how many people have been saying the game's look s perfectly fine, I think people's standards and expectations for this game are far too low for it to bomb.
Seems to be the case, but we'll see, I haven't been actively doing anything pertaining to any of this, but the recent trailer was honestly a mistake and an embarassment

Surprised this went on for as long

I have no clue if this place sees any activity still, but I'm sure that people have at least been watching from a suitable distance the ongoing trainwreck that is MN9. Frankly, I'd be surprised if there was any hope left for this game

It's been a long road though hasn't it?

Gaming Corner / (Retro)Gaming has gone insane
August 23, 2014, 09:52:21 PM

Blame the west who sees it like classic car collecting

video games are not rare limited production items, they are mass produced things.

I'd love to visit Japan just for their retro game stores which sell retro video games and equipment for cheap

Seeing how some people actually love the option for English voice acting and actually liked what they saw in the trailer (amazing graphics, really?!), I sadly agree with this. There are too many people out there with the nostalgia glasses tightly stuck onto their faces, are delusional and think that comcept can't do no wrong, or simply have bad taste.

Yeah a sad truth, still some games are still amazing to this day, like the original mario party with friends

Did we truly need voice acting though? it didn't become much of a thing till the PS1/N64 era

I'm honestly starting to wonder when the "good will" of the fans will just run out. The milk's already seeping from every orifice as it is on this one.

Any more milking and we'll be up to our eyes in Michael Bay adapted movies and shovel-goods.

Crying shame those that cared didn't make anything of it, we have jagos doing some hard work but that alone wasn't enough. We tried to warn them and failed, the only thing left now is to try to either help steer the community in the right direction, or just watch it all burn

Quote from: 56008"collecting the information and package them in a way to be researched"? Are you referring to how Dina is collecting all of our suggestions and using that to come up with polls and surveys?

2 problems:

First, it's nice that they want get some ideas from us prior to asking us anything directly, but the information they're gathering are only from a handful of backers who use the forum. Remember that only a small percentage of backers actually log into forums, and fewer actually talk about the game. So perhaps the idea was a good one, it totally fails since they're not gathering information from the majority of the backers which really defeats the point.

And secondly, that's no excuse for not releasing other polls/surveys while they're working on those ones. What happened to selecting the Doctor/Professor? Similar to the Call polls, they could have easily made 2 polls out of that one. How about polls based on the boss, such as their character design or attacks? That's like at least 8 polls right there. Look, just right there I came up with polls that easily covered the past few months of nothing!

I do believe I even demonstrated how easy it was to create a poll, though I'm sure it's long deleted for "slander" but they're working at a pace that would insult even a snail drenched in molasses, not to mention recently it came to the attention of a friend who alerted me that they have NO EMAIL AUTOMATION and refuse to acquire such a system

Quote from: Quattro BajeenaAs far as I'm concerned effort should be put into trying to foster the MN9's community here, in a more healthy environment, we pretty much have nothing on the forums that doesn't get leaked to the public, and we know the devs are pretty much doing their own thing, fan input be damned. At the very least we can build a healthy community here away from all the bullshit, and it'd probably be easier to get backers a backer title here since raven and mechaGS are both fairly quick in their responses

Quote from: 56008Well said. While it's easy to sit around criticize the official forums, it's also easy to forget about our community here and how we can make it a better place.

It's awesome that you guys are still dedicated to this place even though it's become a barren wasteland as of late. Of course I'm still here but I've not seen many of the other staff around for a while.

I'm going to say that I don't think people will switch forum. They've paid for the official one so the "backing" still makes them want to drift there. This place is open to them and it got mentioned so many times in the past that they couldn't have missed the place.

Considering there's nothing to talk about game-wise and Comcept are doing as they please at this point, (still can't believe the press get info before backers) I firmly feel that Comcept killed their own hype-train with the nonsense that's gone on over the last 6 months. It accounts not only for their forums user fall-off but ours too to a point.

I've stopped visiting the official forums entirely since the place is nothing but a mere shell of what it was and could have been. Guess we'll see what happens down the line but I have to re-iterate that I really do think they killed their own buzz around the game and with it the strong community they could have had.

Considering how many people have yet to even get forum access trying to reroute them here would be much better, I can call in a favor to someone I know who I'm told has an amazing voice, have him make a plug for MN9U

General Mighty no. 9 Discussions / Mighty number 0
March 20, 2014, 03:22:18 PM
Quote from: MechaGSI only ever seen one thread about Mighty No. 0 and it was people asking if we could have one, a bit like a Zero character. We never did get a yes, no or maybe so from anyone at Comcept though.

Remember their email works like snail mail

Still I think MN. 0 should be a prototype, maybe one that went insane, had a power failure or was too costly to produce in mass numbers (like the gundam in MSG)

I don't see any generals there too so I guess either mods put an end to them or nobody there cares anymore.

....4chan has mods?! I always pictured 4chan as place where you're practically able to post whatever you want, so that's actually quite a surprise to me.

Long gone, devolved into shit posting and inhabited by people who started shit for the sake of it. It'll never come back hopefully, they wanted a hero, another heavy01 or jamus, someone to be the champion of their cause who would do their work for them, instead of taking it upon themselves to act, they never tried to coordinate or to organize, shame to say the only organization that came from it was my so called "circle jerk"

All that aside, you would think the thread would still be around to simply discuss about the game and any development news....and their lack of polls and meaningful updates...which is also why the official forums are dying...

Ok, I can see why the threads are gone. :becksad

Isn't also sad that I can use a Beck emoticon here and not on at the official forums? Gawd, it's just getting pathetic at this point.

Almost as bad as Dina just now realizing she may be lactose intolerant

When I heard this I did a double take, also speechless, how do you go that long without realizing you may be allergic to dairy?

Quote from: "56008"Yeah, I wouldn't say it's "dead" at the moment since it's quite active with the current request of backer input for the "Stage Start Phrases". But in all honesty, asking for backer feedback for something so minor this just feels very tacked on. Also the idea of not actually sending out a proper survey/poll and asking people to use the forums just reeks of a desperate attempt to bring life back to the forums.

However it doesn't look like it's working. As TheCloudyEye said, it's pretty much the same people posting outside of said thread/topic. I mean, people are still posting but I was "away" for like a week and I barely missed anything.

*edit*

Also forgot to ask, I noticed or at least could no longer find a MN9 topic in 4chan. Is it just gone, or am I just blind?

Quote from: "Jagos"Just check the Kickstarter...

The same three people were posting on the KS for a length of time and it just shows you that the vitality was driven out of the game.

That's just heartbreaking...

According to those I keep in contact with that still have forum access the forums are all but dead, it's disgusting what's transpired, only thing left to do now is spread the news where ever you can

Quote from: 13445In the works or not, He still had payroll to make. I thinking he was running debts and came up with the kickstater to pay them off and make a throw away game called MN9 IMO.
We all need payrolls to make. But this was an Inti Creates game. I doubt they were begging for money when they had only successes. I can see them doing joint work for MN9, which is what is happening here. ASG was just a game coming regardless if Mighty no. 9 was even considered in the making, even though it was.

If anything, called them out on their delayed fixes of the website issues.

Topic locked for slander against comcept, have a nice day ;^).

Seriously the audit thing is a good idea
