What the crap.  I'm unbanned already.  The confusion never ends.

Quote from: "Weejus"Anyone know any sites that sell the Mega Man games for SNES and PS1 at reasonable prices (aka NOT the extortion that plagues Ebay and Amazon, for example someone was selling PAL X1-3 and MM7 for ?6500)? I'm looking for X1 and Legends mostly, they are the highest priority for me.

Yeah, like Spider said, X1 should be cheap on ebay and possibly 7.  8 should be cheap on PS1 as well.  Sadly anything outside of those titles is probably not going to be cheap.  The collectors market is stupid right now, and there's no reason for it go down because there are constantly new collectors popping up who are willing to pay stupid prices.

I got into collecting Mega/Rockman many years ago, so I inadvertently dodged a lot of this nonsense.  I think the worst was when I paid $450 for boxed/complete versions of all the PAL SNES games.  At the time it was gut wrenching to pay that much, but that set alone is probably worth a good $2k today.  Same thing for the European release of Megaman IV on Gameboy.  I cringed at dropping like $70 for a boxed copy back then.  It will cost you $400+ today.

Prices are stupid all around, but the European games are extra stupid for some reason.  Extra limited production, perhaps?

Mega Man Corner / Mega Man Collections?
January 20, 2014, 10:02:45 PM
Sweet! I love looking at people's collections!

Quote from: MechaGSMy first D-Arts collectible has just arrived, it's Mega Man X! I'll be keeping it in the box, but here's a picture for all to enjoy!

Aren't those great! I didn't set out to collect them all, but I have a few of them now :) I have X (my favourite), Zero Ver.2, Vile (probably 2nd favourite), Comic Version X (I think this was a Japan only version), Forte/Gospel, and someone just gave me Megaman/Rush for Christmas! Mega Armor X didn't really appeal to me and though the Sigma statue is pretty beast, it still looks off to me, somehow.

Here's an older video of my Rockman collection (other world regions I'll likely do in a future video):

Mega Man Corner / Mega Man: Archie Comics / GN Series

My wife bought me the first set (4 issues in one book, I think?) with artwork by Spaz.  Dude, that guy is my Megaman comic artist hero.  I was in fanboy heaven pouring over those.  Then I picked up the 2nd book.  I don't even know if I finished it.  Compared to the quality and style of Spaz's art, it was like looking at... I don't know, some cheap knock-off.  Sorry to dog the other artists on the project, but Spaz destroys them.

If you haven't picked any of these up, do yourself a favor and pick up the first few.  You are in for a treat!

Quote from: JinpachiroDidn't she say comcept has a policy where they don't tell you why you're banned ever? Seriously what kind of policy is that for a forum?

One that leads to it being a ghost town.

No, it' won't be a ghost town, just an ill representation of the actual Mighty No. 9 backer community.  It will essentially consist of those who are oblivious to how ridiculous the situation is.

In other news, I just got banned.  And as has become common, I don't even know why.  Probably another retroactive ban, having nothing to do with any recent posts.  I can't even think of any "hot" threads/topics I've commented on in the last week.  Maybe it's better this way.  Like it was before dark times... before the empire.  Just look forward to each podcast and Kickstarter update.  No drama.  Only excitement for the game itself.

Quote from: Quattro Bajeenawonder how they would react, the community if someone told them the forum staff was lying to them about the difficulty of installing the modules

I mentioned it a while back when all of the controversy over forum features began and people didn't seem to take the info on at that point. While a dedicated topic might get some attention, I think it'd just be "handled" like everything else over there.

It would be a shame if the reason that the forum is in it's present state was because someone doesn't have the time or lacks the knowledge, yet isn't willing to deligate to someone who has both.

Ah, nice!  I figured someone else would have caught it before she deleted it!  What's funny is after she made this big stink about deleting things to avoid derailment, Betaman came in with a question and him and BSO derail the crap out of the thread :D

Another thing that is great about that thread is that it is far from "ask me anything!"  It's "ask me anything that doesn't have the potential to make me look bad!"  Which is even more humorous when considering that a skill in any job interview is to creatively make your weaknesses look like strengths when asked about them.  She should be mature about it and field any question, as the title welcomes, and turn even "troll" questions into ways to make herself look good to the community.

Quote from: TheCloudyEyeOn a related note, Dina's AMA is now down to 329 from the original 1500+

Most people probably missed it, but last night Dina lost her cool in the AMA thread.  Hopefully someone screen capped it.  Guy w/ the animaniacs av asked her why she deleted some guy's question and she got all flustered about people questioning mod edits and deletions.  Then they got talking about what was "fair" regarding warnings and strikes (which I am still unclear on) and she said something like, "ok, from now on, if a post is deleted for violating a forum rule, you can consider that a strike. How's that for fair?"  Then she promptly deleted the entire conversation.  Classy.

At this point, I'll take a prick who knows what he should be doing.

I'm shocked to find that the new mods (Damo, who I was cringing at the thought of becoming, only to find the recent announcement, and BSO) are actually looking to be decent choices.  I haven't seen any brown nosing out of Damo since his upgrade to moderator status and he's actually done some very clear and helpful moderating (contrasted with the vague and underhanded moderating we've grown accustom to).  BSO, I'm not so familiar with, but the few posts I've seen of his in his moderation role, have been well thought out and far from the dreamy "lets hold hands and pretend that everyone loves it here, even though we just destroyed that thread you were following and banned a bunch of people you enjoy."

Here's hoping these new mods influence the rest of the crew for the better.  I'm pretty much past the point of questioning why Dina is CM and have conceded to merely hope that she learns from some of these guys who seem to have some clue as to what the crap they should be doing.

Quote from: undamnedSomeone definitely needs to make a "Downfall" video where Hitler is notified he's been banned from the Mighty No.9 forum.  He rants for quite a while, so you could include a laundry list of issues that have gone down.

Working on a script for this might be entertaining.  I can think of other angles too, Hitler as a KS commenter being interrupted by forum discussion, Hitler as Dina reacting to criticism, Hitler being told that Call E didn't win...

Edit: Here's a draft, let me know what you think: http://pastebin.com/LfyG4nHz

Ha!  That's pretty funny.  I'd love to read some of the others you come up with.  Hitler as Dina reacting to criticism is funny all by itself.
