Diving Right In

Hello all. I found this forum while looking for MN9 info. I'm not a backer (money issues), but I will be buying the game in the future. :beckgladsmile

I've been a Megaman fan since about MM4 on the NES. The last MM game I played was MMX5, after that I moved on to FPS/MMOs and pretty much forgot about the series (for shame!). Anyways, after seeing Mr. Inafune back in action, my old memories were revived and I've been hooked on following the game ever since.

I'm a bit of a forum hopper since I crave activity in them (which seems rare these days). I can be a post monster if I get really into one though. :mrgreen: I also love trying lots and lots of video games (that I never seem to finish!).

Hey there Swan Dive welcome to MN9U! You stopped playing the X series with X5? That was supposed to be the final game in the series, but that didn't happen. :V There's tons of video games that I've started playing but never finished myself. Yeah, that's what I heard. In my research I heard it went downhill from there, so maybe it was a good thing? MMX4 is easily my favorite of the series because of Zero. He made me love the game on a whole new level with his awesome fighting style. I have played MM1-3, but did not enjoy MM too much until the legendary MEGA BUSTER came into play. That weapon made the game 100x more fun for me. :mrgreen: Thanks for the welcome Mr. Site Owner!

We have yet another thing in common X4 is my favorite in the series too because of Zero. xD And it's cool to see that the site's link has been posted in a comment over there.

I like Zero's melee combat skills and how fast they can make the pace of the battles so fun, unlike X who has to rely too much on charge shots and consumable special weapons, which i don't find as fast nor as frenetic as simply dashing right into the enemy's face.

But yeah, X4 was great fun, though I cried (Iris..) near the end (along with Zero)..

Yeah, I found myself defaulting to Zero almost always, even in MMX3 when he was a "secret character". Mega Man is definitely easier to play though in my opinion, since he is such a powerhouse from a distance.
