IGN published this wishlist:

http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/10/03/9-w...f-from-mega-man

Which got the attention of the comcept group:

[tweet]https://twitter.com/MightyNo9/statuses/387233074708090880[/tweet]

Some of their wishes I disagreed with, and made this poll for you to disapprove what you do not like as well, and share additional comments. You can change your vote at any time. This was made in particularly if you hate to use Disqus.com, but still want to express your opinion. Hopefully comcept sees this, and gets a better opinion from its B?ckers.
Spoiler
Maybe we should make an official MN9 wishlist sticky thread, with all of our wishes constantly updated all through out the development phase. Also, we see what you did there IGN ? ????

EDIT: Why are there 4 votes automatically? I am the only one that voted? Can and Admin take a look at that?

1. Divorce the Number Eight

?C: I could care less.

2. Deliver a Succinct Story That isn't Stupid

?C: I 100% agree. Even for a Plot twist, you do not need to over dramatize it. Epic Beck vs Call fight (she gets corrupted for a few?)

3. Call Needs to Rock from Day One

?C: Indeed. It's fine expanding, and I know why Roll was not in the first game: NES Mem Cart, you 8x16kb system:

4. Consistent Voice Acting

?C: Meh. I don't care even if Beck speaks.

5. Difficulty Selection

?C: OH SO NO. That was the point of Rockman, even Castlevania and Metroid. One simple balanced difficulty that progresses as you progress the game. The progressional difficulty beautifully exemplifies the mood of the game, it was part of the theme, a major plot device.

6. Don?t Overshadow the Hero(es)

?C: Hey, even villains could be the heros *Dhaos, ahem* Don't you just love antiheros?
Spoiler
Part of the Rockman X series' theme was to question your beliefs, even if it meant fighting your friends. Nothing is absolute - ?? ??.

7. Let?s Have Sensibly Spaced-Out Sequels

?C: Up to Comcept to decide. I am here for the fast spaced action platform action.

8. No Auto-Scrolling Jet Bike Stages. Ever

?C: NOPE. That was the highlight Rockman X 2, and then the following titles. I mean, who does not love a high speed bike chase? Oh god the adrenaline rush.
Spoiler
This is also a major plot device for the theme of Rockman X, X could overcome any turmoil and hardship presented with, and prove his cause, as the perceived weakling everyone believed to be.

9. Make Beck a Globalized Hero

?C: I'd let comcept decide on that. Their stories always make you wonder, as staple to their legacy.

1. Divorce the Number Eight

I would like to see this, maybe add some optional side bosses like megaman X4.

2. Deliver a Succinct Story That isn't Stupid

I thought all megaman stories were good.

3. Call Needs to Rock from Day One

This would make for a good side mission or something.

4. Consistent Voice Acting

I'm not a dub hater, but even I muted megaman 8. Megaman X dubbing was fine.

5. Difficulty Selection

I'm fine with what they come up with.

6. Don?t Overshadow the Hero(es)

meh.

7. Let?s Have Sensibly Spaced-Out Sequels

I'm fine with whatever they think up.

8. No Auto-Scrolling Jet Bike Stages. Ever

So god so yes THIS! God I hated these stages with a passion, may Megaman 8 rot in hell for this along with it's dubbing.

TheRaven

Really the only things I disagree with on their list is 4 and 8. It'd be cool to hear VA in the game but I don't think it's a big priority, I would be fine without VAs. And even though I rage quit usually while playing the auto-scrolling levels they are challenging and would be perfect while playing challenging mode.

MechaGS

I'm going to ignore both 2 and 8.

I don't believe that Mega Man ever sucked story-wise and I'm expecting Mighty No. 9 to do fine in that regard. As far as the jet bike stuff goes, I hope it's in there. I may have raged out at it over the years but it's still insanely rewarding to finish.

Everything else is touch and go really. Voice acting isn't needed but would be a nice addition if done correctly and I want sequels already! :D

NinjablazerZero

1. I don't care if they follow the standard 8 stages/8 bosses route. Whether or not they do it is not a big concern as long as the gameplay remains solid and fun throughout. But to make a demand that they do not follow a certain route is something I disagree with. It's not a bad design. People need to stop hating something just because it has been done before, and instead focus on how it's different from the last time, or how fun it was. Just because it's redone doesn't mean it isn't fun.

2. Megaman Stories were always cool. This one being put in is just really nitpicking for no reason other than to nitpick.

3. Meh, whether or not she's a big character or not, don't care. As long as she isn't a bad character, don't really care whether she's the most active ever, or just sitting on the sidelines.

4. Meh, if there's VAs, doesn't matter or not. That and Maverick Hunter X, X8, and Command Mission shows they fixed the problem of voice acting, so it's not even a concern.

5. Meh, don't mind. Would rather a progressive difficulty rather than selective, but doesn't really matter.

6. What does this even mean?

7. Meh. Doesn't matter how fast we get a sequel, if we get one in the first place. All I ask is that if a sequel is to be made, they put as much work into improving gameplay and making things better as they are doing into this one. That said, I would prefer the wait between sequels is at least a year and a half, 2 years tops. Let hype for the first one die out before moving on to the next, without waiting too long and people end up forgetting about it.

8. These were awesome stages. Bring them back if the game allows them to return. They were fun, high-paced, and required skill. Don't remove parts of a game just cause you are afraid of a simple challenge.

9. What does this even mean?

Quote from: NinjablazerZero9. What does this even mean?

Purely a guess, but I'm guessing they're referring to the idea of Mega Man not being popular to a wider western audience and they want Beck to fill that void?

Either way, it's still nonsense IGN drivel.

Comments:

1. Divorce the Number Eight

- Why? The only reason I can think of is to make it different from the Mega Man franchise, and its not like those games always had 8 bosses.

2. Deliver a Succinct Story That isn't Stupid

- Debatable. Some people enjoyed the stories in Mega Man Zero, ZX, Battle Network, and Star Force. The main series games tended to have worse plots, but plots have little do to with the gameplay, which is the meat of the games.

3. Call Needs to Rock from Day One

- Thats a rather ambigious statement. I do agree that Call should have a good character design though.

4. Consistent Voice Acting

- Meh. As long as he does not sound like a ten year old I will be fine.

5. Difficulty Selection

- I only hope that the difficulty remains as hard as the Mega Man games. For me, its not really megaman if I don't game over a couple times.

6. Don?t Overshadow the Hero(es)

- But that's how we avoid character stagnation! Seriously though, I have no problem with having a Not-Zero in the game.

7. Let?s Have Sensibly Spaced-Out Sequels

- This is one I can agree with. As long as they don't reach Pikmin or Half Life 3 levels of sequel delays.

8. No Auto-Scrolling Jet Bike Stages. Ever

- I would actually also like vehicles like in X2-3, as long as we are not forced to use them.
Spoiler
Mega Man X8 abused that in a couple stages.

9. Make Beck a Globalized Hero

- What? Technically, the Mega Men were globalized, but this is more complaining about the lack of supplemental materials coming to countries other than Japan, which I can agree with.
