I honestly don't see why people are being so averse to the idea of the movie. I mean, I've goth gripes with live action as well, but it's great to see that we know about the movie before production started. That way, if it's good, we get to be pleasantly surprised, and if it isn't, well then it'll meet our expectations of being bad.

@Shiroyami @epicnights

I don't care if they are making a movie or franchise. We are backers, we should have been informed of what our money is being used, and not tell news organizations first, when even the site needs fixing.

It's like we were never their priority, the people that paid 4M+ for the game. If it is profit they seek, fine, but tell us about it, don't leave us in the cold.

There are words for this, but I fear saying to the both of you is too difficult to comprehend.

Was it confirmed (if it was here, I missed it) if that they are using backer money to produce the movie, or is it a suspicion?  Either way, I can see why you're pissed. :/

They're not using any Kickstarter money on the movie. http://mightyno9.com/en/comment/54107#comment-54107

They're just shopping around to see if anyone would like to help move MN9 into other media forms, like being in talks with Contradiction Films about the possibility of a live action Mighty No. 9 adaption.

Anything that isn't being funded via our pledge money should be considered a bonus at this point (and may never actually happen).

Ah okay glad to hear that!  I can't visit the forum since I'm not a backer.

Explain to me, how they will "shop" around interested "partners" if they will not use a part of the 4 million?

And read it carefully, she is not denying a portion is being used for a live adaptation. She is saying that anything additional to the game could only add to the development, not detract it.

I can quote, but I rather not do it here in public. Want me to make a discussion page about this on the forums?

Yes, the game is a priority, the rest is bonus. And they have the bonus to do it. My gripe is: the CEO of Contradiction Films has the right to leak this information on an interview, and we have to learn from another source, not comcept.

How would I have handle this?
Quote from: A Real CMHello All! We have news we would like to share with all of you.

Would you like to see Mighty No. 9 in a movie?

Maybe even merchandise?

Or other event?

Tell us your opinion here!:

The poll is real BTW.

I've created a backers edition of this topic so that the heavier bits can be discussed.
