Alright.

Here's a review of the third part of the Fushigi no Dungeon: Fuurai no Shiren series (Also known as Shiren the Wanderer in the West), which is one of the branches of the Mystery Dungeon franchise, which also includes games like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon if that tells you anything about how the basic formula of the games is.

Personally i'd recommend playing the first game in the series (Named Fushigi no Dungeon 2 Fuurai no Shiren, has an english translation patch) which is way more challenging.

Other dungeon crawlers on this style are for example Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja for the NDS and the recently released Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God for PSVita, that btw happens to be part of the Madou Monogatari IP, which inspired the Puyo Puyo series.

Here's a video explaining how it is:

Looks like a good game to pass the time while travelling.

If you played Muramasa on Shigurui (one-hit death) mode you know how challenging it can be

My favorite video of the Bootleg Sampler promotional CD that came with my Saturn back then, and the intro of Clockwork Knight 2, a quite challenging and charming platformer (but not as challenging as the first one).
