Call's Design

Posted on the Kickstarter was a image filled with concept art for the character Call. Which design do you like the most? What design is strange? Anyway I really like both designs in the right bottom corner. I think the ones in the left hand corner resemble Roll too much (but of course it's Keiji's style :V) and I would like to see Call look different from Roll. Out of the two in the right bottom corner, I think I like the one bellow the design with green armor. I think the green armor looks out of place, and therefore is my least favorite out of all the concepts. Here's the image:

I agree. I'm pushing for a less cutesy design as Roll was rather cutesy in Mega Man. I think a change of character pace is needed here.



Although, in saying that, I'm also partial to the pink and red eyes one. She's got a cool look.

Oh wow I really like that. I think that outfit fits that design of Call much better IMO.

Well Beck is still helmeted and blue in essence so he clearly resembles "him" so I like to see a Call that resembles "her" too. And to me the blonde is best of the designs, esthetic wise, personality wise and just look at her on the robot dog! doesn't that bring a smile to your face? (The dog resemble that other dog too and I dont see anyone complaining)

The other Call designs are just too...radical for me, I guess I'm used to my blondes eh? Remember! All your opinions on the matter are just as valid as mine! I entrust the Comcept and Inticreates teams to make the best choice that fits the game and story best!

I like the pink haired Call the most. She looks serious and could keep Beck on track if he decides to goof off. She looks like someone who acts tough and serious most of the time but also has a sift side. And I just really like her outfit and hairstyle.

I think that Inafune will run into issues if it's too much like Mega Man. Certain parts of the Mega Man series design must be copyrighted and I'm sure he's trying to break away whilst still being true to the fans.



I actually like every Call, but would like to see a different design (I don't want her to look too much like Roll) as I think the game needs to stand on it's own merits and not in the guise of a series that Capcom has no interest in.



I dunno... I'm quite stretched on this one really.  :oops:

Yeah if copyright things arise then the Pink Haired one is the best choice for me.



Otherwise Blonde is still my first choice.

I'm not for the Roll-Call design. The design is too similar for my own taste and could end up bending the boundary of what's acceptable legally in similarities. Mega Man and Beck may have similarity, but at least they're different enough.

It will be interesting to see how much power over certain designs Capcom has during this games development. I'm hoping it doesn't become an issue for the developers or Inafune-san as time goes on.



I think they just need to be a little cautious, especially with a project so close to Inafune's previous works.

Beck and Call are Mr. Inafune's new characters inspired by what he formed. What? would you like to talk about the Dog? hes just as similar to Rush as Blonde Call is to Roll. Here I changed a few things to Blonde Call to still keep her with out too much worry.







What do you guys think? I can't be the only one who likes this Call design to bits.

As I've said before, I like every design and don't really mind which gets chosen in the end. I will admit that I am more partial to the design you've pointed out though as it does look awesome.

My own personal preference is Not!Aero. Considering the original was basically denied the right to exist, I think it'd be kinda poetic if she made it through this time. Also, I'd rather the game have a few merits of its own to stand on.



Ironically, my vote for L3 was actually Injun. I was all for green haired Call for a bit, but Not!Aero has grown on me somehow.
