I've owned Mega Man 9 since 2008 and I have always, and I mean always, sucked at it. But somehow yesterday I beat 5 of the game's Robot Masters. I still have no idea how it happened.

It's a great feeling when you actually get that amazing run! I've had a few of them over the years. I'm not the greatest Mega Man gamer, but it's moments like that which are truly awesome.

I'll have to go back to MM9. Got it on PS3 so will need to install it. :)

Yeah, there's nothing like it! :D The only Robot Master left for me now is Splash Woman. I have it on Wii, given the fact that when I got MM9, the only console I had that MM9 was on was the Wii, although given the choice now (when I have all 3 7th gen home consoles), I'd still pick Wii, as I feel it's the system the game was for, given the blue bomber's Famicom roots.

TheRaven

I still have yet to own both MM9 and MM10. Could you believe that those were one of the few reasons why I wanted to get a next gen console? :V I was actually going to get a PS3 but became impatient so I got a 360. Plus now I can get Xbox games I missed out on. xD Once I get paid I'm going to finally get these games, my next pay check includes a bonus! ^_^

Nice, I recommend both cause they are excellent titles. I have 9 on PS3 and 10 on X360. (this one was discounted if I remember right at the time)

Definitely grab them, lots of Mega Man fun to be had! :D

Weejus

I've never played MM10, is it any good? Does it hold up against 9?

I haven't really beaten a Mega Man game yet either, though this is due to me sucking and not putting in enough practice into games.

Someday, though, I will.

It just takes practice and (depending on the game) farming for screws. I also have MM1 from the Wii U eShop and I've only beaten 1 of the Robot Masters but I can't remember which. I definitely plan to buy 2, 3, and 4 from the Wii U eShop soon.

MechaGS

I need to get the early one's from the eShop. Will probably do that in December when thing's calm down a little.

On about Mega Man though, anyone got the Mega Man Zero Collection on Nintendo DS? If so, is it worth getting if you already have the older games?

TheRaven

Oh yeah that's one game I would love to own soon. I never had the chance to own any of the games in the Zero series, but I managed to play through a bit of the first game. It's fun but I didn't care for Zero's redesign. :P

MechaGS

The main reason I asked if it's worth it is I don't want to run my cartridges down any more than I have too. I've upgraded all of my Sonic games, etc to XBOX 360 purchases so that they stay in good condition.

It's just my means of preserving the life of old games. :D

TheRaven

Good idea, funny thing is I have almost all the classic Sonic games on my 360 but I also have a few copies for the Genesis/Mega Drive. xD So is there anyone here that has played through all the games in both the classic and X series? I haven't done so, yet. In the classic series i've only played through 7 and 8 and in the X series only 1 and 2. :V With that said I've also finished Mega Man Legends too.

tailszero

From what I know, Zero Collection adds an easy mode that spans all four games, and development art on the bottom screen that changes depending on what level you are in. Finding it might be annoying, because it didn't sell much.

MechaGS

Doesn't sound like a great buy... I thought they'd have at least done a little more with it but oh well. I'll keep my eyes open for it nonetheless. :)

If you're looking for the easiest way to farm for screws in Mega Man 9:

Spoiler
Get the Jewel Satellite and go to Plug Man's stage. Find a place to stand so that the enemy (Telly<-click link) flies into your shield.

To be honest you only need the
Spoiler
Energy Converter
and you should be set.

I just ordered the Mega Man X Collection (PS2) from the States. Looking forward to that arriving now. :D

I'm going to have an epic few months when that arrives. :P

EDIT: Got Mega Man Anniversary Collection (PS2), brand new and sealed coming as well now.

I've broke the piggy bank but for all the best reasons! :beckveryhappy

You do have an NTSC PS2, right?
