I suppose if I knew more Japanese, I'd appreciate raws more as well.  Which is why I am studying it at the moment. Even during my practice translating games, I notice huge amounts of context being lost (or gained), depending on who translates it.

Perfect. I was about to recommend you joining groups that scanlate mangas to practice the process, but games are also ok. The important part is that you do it as a group, so you can see others'  reading perspective/interpretation, and not just your own, with your limited knowledge.
