I've been playing Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix and I've come to realise just how much I still love this series 11 years after it's initial release. So, I thought I'd make a place we can all talk about our favorite Square Enix / Disney mash-up. :D

So, to kick us all off, which was you're favorite Kingdom Hearts game? Mine was the first one, I especially enjoyed meeting Donald and Goofy for the first time and seeing their reactions to crazy stuff.

I will admit I never finished the second one and haven't played any of the handheld titles. I'll be going through the Re:Chain of Memories very soon so I can see how that game was. ;)

The first one I bought was Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, which I'm leaving until I beat every KH game preceding it. I then got KH1, which I beat in June, and I got KH2 last Christmas, but I'm not playing until I beat Re:CoM whenever I get KH 1.5.

I never actually played this series, due to not having a Playstation 2/3. are there any games that got remade for the vita? I'm thinking of getting the Vita-Tv thing, and this series sounds like a nice addition to my library.

Well KH: Birth by Sleep (a prequel set 10 years before KH1 and is the earliest point in the timeline) is on PSP, and while I don't know about PSP-Vita compatibility stuff, if it is playable on Vita it's a good place to start.

Back when KH was first announced I wanted the first game so bad and my best friend got it since he got a PS2 before me. However since then I haven't really been too much into the franchise, my girlfriend used to be very obsessed with it but lately has been less into it. I couldn't exactly tell you why though, she still plays the games from time to time. After Dream Drop Distance was announced she stopped caring about the series. :V

I heard they got a little crazy once the handheld ones came in. I stayed away from them because of that fact. I'll probably attempt to stick with numbered games only as I find Square Enix don't do good spin-off's.

I actually talked to her last night about that, and that's why she's not into the newer games now. It's confusing, and I can see that even though I have yet to actually play through any of the games. The storyline branches off in different directions, and some games take place in a different timeline, it's confusing especially for someone who isn't even into the series. xD

Well hopefully KHIII will bring some closure to the series and tie up all loose ends. I also hope they make a 2.5 ReMIX (containing KH2, Birth by Sleep, Re:Coded (even though it's basically filler), and possibly Dream Drop Distance) as doing so would make the entire series more readily available to newer and/or younger fans.

I'm hoping they announce that a KH HD 2.5 ReMIX is in the works soon. It will certainly make it easier for people to play and enjoy.
