What's your favorite genre?

So what's your favorite genre of gaming? I personally am very fond of platformers and RPGs the most. I'm not too picky when it comes to playing video games though, but I can say that I really don't care for sports games. They're pretty boring IMO, the only sport game I have ever played was NHL '94 on the Sega Genesis, and I've tried playing Madden '99 but I just can't get into them. The exception for that though is NBA Jam, I love that game. xD

I'm a bit of an RPG nutcase. I'm a collector of everything RPG and actually have some very rare titles lying around.



I also like platformers, racing and action games. I'm not a big fan of FPS, dance, fitness, etc as there's just too much shovelware in these genres.

Platforming, Metroidvania, just about any 2D game for me.

I'm not too picky about my games. I will play anything and everything. Whatever's a good game, I'll play it. I like to keep a variety. Best of all worlds.

My favourite genres are platformers (Mario, Sonic , Mega Man etc.), RPGs (FF, Ni no Kuni, Pok?mon etc), hack-n-slash (Kingdom Hearts, Metal Gear Rising etc.), and fighting games (Street Fighter, the cream of the DBZ crop etc.).

Funny thing is, I'm awful at it. Also, I haven't bought Fifa 14 yet. Probably won't, considering Pok?mon X, GTA V, and Kingdom Hearts HD are all higher priority to me.

I just GTA V on Friday morning (at around 4:30am) and it's an amazing experience. I recommend it!

I'm not sure if I'll be getting the Pok?mon game on release or not yet.

A close friend of mine (who's probably the biggest English-speaking Disgaea fan in the world and has played it since the age of 5) has almost beaten Disgaea D2. I am still playing through Disgaea 3 (signed by Vic Mignogna!) and am crap at it but love it. Then there's Disgaea 4 for after I beat 3... :beckconfused

No, he has the European version. He somehow got it early. I assume he bribed NIS America but I don't know for sure.

My favorite genre in games is and always will be beat em ups i have played these types of games since the release of the Super Nintendo/Snes.The game that really got me playing beat em ups was the mighty Street Fighter 2 Turbo what a classic game you cant beat it
