Yaiba and MN9 Collab?

So while surfing and scrolling on Facebook I noticed this article, written by the same site as the previous article I posted about before. What is Yaiba and how come I never heard of it before? :V So um it's going to be something special, maybe Beck and Call will make a cameo in the game? Could be something else as well, so I suppose we just got to wait and see then huh? But seriously, what the heck is Yaiba?

Yaiba is the next Ninja Gaiden game. It's set in an alternative time so that it doesn't mess with Ryu's story from the originals.



I'm guessing it will be a costume or something in-game. It's a full 3D action game so Beck being in there would probably just look wrong.

Oh okay, thanks for clearing that up for me Mecha. xD But yeah probably just going to be some costume, it would be pretty odd to see Beck appear.

It's Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z. The story revolves around an Undead Ninja who's name is Yaiba, and he's become undead and out for revenge against something. The only other thing I know about the character and plot is that he's one of the many, various, random Ninja's that Ryu has killed at one point or another. Last I heard of this game was a really long time ago, so some of this may have been changed, so don't quote me on this.



The game is being developed by Comcept, and also Yu Nick Yu, who is producing Mighty No. 9, is producing Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z as well. With this in mind, not surprising a collab of both projects were thought up. It's a great idea. A good way to get fans of both the Ninja Gaiden series to support Mighty no. 9, and vice versa. I was planning on getting both right off the bat myself, anyways, should Yaiba get localized.



Not sure how exactly the collab will work, but I'm looking forward to it. It sounds like it'll be great.

I'm interested in seeing how a Ninja Gaiden game under Inafune will work. Should make for an interesting change of pace.



Graphically (from screenshots), it's very stylized, almost cel-shaded to a point. I think it looks awesome. Can't wait to see what the collab will be.
