When are the dev forums opening?!! The wait is killing me. I keep staring at my email, looking for the message that it's open...

MechaGS

I've done that a few times myself. I'd imagine it'll be around the middle of this month at the earliest.

Do I have to bring the mandatory comment?:

I am busy w/ other things, so waiting is not so hard. Only when bored. But I know lots of places where to take the edge off.

TheRaven

So early this month? Well it could be any moment then! :O I wonder what my Mighty No. will be though, i'm going to check my email again for the heck of it. :V

NinjablazerZero

So, I just checked this for the hell of it and I just found that mightyno9.com no longer redirects to the Kickstarter page!

too bad they didn't have me to set them up, the forums would be up and running by now :P

I wonder, are they using wordpress for the main page, and the forums a wordpress plugin? If so, I hope they use a CDN before they publish. Their nameservers are 0#.dnsv.jp, which use their own CDN (BGP based?) from dnv.com (same company?). But so far, I get their Osaka server's IP address only. I don't want to see another 500 server error 'cause the main server can't process all 67277+ users at nearly the same time. Worse, an accidental DDoS:

EDIT: is the \[tweet]bbcode working?

EDIT2:

Oh lol:

I wish I can tell TripleSRank that we can just share userstyles (CSS) in a repo once the forum is made:

AABAR, is not server conscience: make the client program do as much of the work, the better.

to Emmanuel Fern?ndez, that he can do so himself with XUL, manifest.json, or javascript; even a self made evercookie:

@Michael Ferguson, first, do I know you from somewhere? Second, I concur, even if I mostly use the "View all posts made by Mighty No _______". It's a must when quoting, and following someone's awesome posts (e.g. Pontata, Zilhouette, Saito-kun92|Shoutaro-Saito, etc.)

Synchronized w/ kickstarter, news aggregators are a must, even if it is RSS. I can only dream they use something different like RDF or YAML; maybe even raw SPARQL or Versa. I would bow if they even do HTSQL, and give my eternal servitude if they manage a NNTP gateway to aggregate the digests.

EDIT3:

[spoilerbox]Walking down memory lane:

<!-- m --><a href='https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_data_serialization_formats' rel='nofollow' target='_blank'>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compariso ... on_formats</a><!-- m -->

I never considered using S-expressions for a serial format in news aggregation. Data yes, not news. I wonder what is the take of Inti Creates and comcept about S-exp. I know there's a fan base of the Lisp family of programming languages in Japan, but not sure of those two companies.[/spoilerbox]

xD Any site is better than the obama care site. Since everything is up and running they're just testing things out now, but the forum looks so bland. Dx Oh well simplicity is what they are going for so I can't really complain there! :P

mightyno67277p

@TheRaven

Don't worry, when it comes out, I'll be one of the first ones to view the source, list all the tags, and start making definitions on what we can bling. Maybe I should set up a git repo for the custom CSS's. My forum account will be mostly a bot. But a good bot.

Spoiler
If you do not know what the animations is, you are missing out:

Yes, that is BRS summoning her blaster, just like Beck does. I wasn't like Ryohei Huke was inspired from Rockman and Homestruck at all when making the OVA? At the least I hope newcomers understand the avatar a tad better, which came from the abyss *ahem*.

I probably won't mind the simple layout. The easier it is to get to stuff, the better I say. I just hope the forum has lots of features that help with tracking topics, etc.

True, true.

Amen! Unless the community does it first ?(????)

TheRaven

I think we'll have to wait until after Thanksgiving at this point. :P I checked the comments on the Kickstarter page and it was well strange to say the least. Hopefully the forums don't get lame spammers like we had last month... :S

IT'S HERE:

Preview, once the site is back up, after they apply a CDN:

If you can't connect, it's because drupal (the CMS...) can't handle all the connections. I called it! :

I wonder why they are sending the emails out so slowly. They could at least do 40.
