I wonder if she can also discover her criticism intolerance before its too late.

MOD EDIT: That's a ban!

Please refrain from slandering Dina. This was not your first offense.

As far as I'm concerned effort should be put into trying to foster the MN9's community here, in a more healthy environment, we pretty much have nothing on the forums that doesn't get leaked to the public, and we know the devs are pretty much doing their own thing, fan input be damned. At the very least we can build a healthy community here away from all the bullshit, and it'd probably be easier to get backers a backer title here since raven and mechaGS are both fairly quick in their responses

That can't be real...

*checks twitter*

Huh...I have no words.

Actually, and I don't want to start beating a dead horse, but I just noticed something on her twitter account:

from Lebanon; trying out all the things! ???????. Game Design. Hairdye. Toys. Videogames. Community Manager at comcept. My opinions are my own

Why is Character Design in Japanese?  I smell another cover up...or I'm just getting paranoid.  Whatever.

Well said.  While it's easy to sit around criticize the official forums, it's also easy to forget about our community here and how we can make it a better place.

It's awesome that you guys are still dedicated to this place even though it's become a barren wasteland as of late. Of course I'm still here but I've not seen many of the other staff around for a while.

I'm going to say that I don't think people will switch forum. They've paid for the official one so the "backing" still makes them want to drift there. This place is open to them and it got mentioned so many times in the past that they couldn't have missed the place.

Considering there's nothing to talk about game-wise and Comcept are doing as they please at this point, (still can't believe the press get info before backers) I firmly feel that Comcept killed their own hype-train with the nonsense that's gone on over the last 6 months. It accounts not only for their forums user fall-off but ours too to a point.

I've stopped visiting the official forums entirely since the place is nothing but a mere shell of what it was and could have been. Guess we'll see what happens down the line but I have to re-iterate that I really do think they killed their own buzz around the game and with it the strong community they could have had.

It is as you read it, since she said more than once that KimoKimo has come up to her for ideas on a character design, and she drew sketches. And KimoKimo is the lead designer for MN9, not some other game that has robots, which comcept has yet to announce:

Well, if comcept recognizes this site, I can see it growing. But updates here seem to be scheduled on user's posts than official moderator posts.

At the least we know the official forums are a placeholder for backers, since revealing the new gameplay footage @GDC needed to be exclusive for the panel.

Considering how many people have yet to even get forum access trying to reroute them here would be much better, I can call in a favor to someone I know who I'm told has an amazing voice, have him make a plug for MN9U

TheRaven

I must apologize for being inactive but alas I have returned. I haven't logged into the official forums in quite a long time, and since I got this new gaming PC I don't even know my password since it's not saved on any browser on here but instead on my girlfriend's laptop. xD However it is a possibility that some will move over, despite them paying for access. (After all many members already have switched over to our little corner of the internet... And with all the crap the staff keeps pulling out of their asses over there it comes to no surprise that many have switched forums.)

@TheRaven

Get a password manager, like Keepass, and keep the database file on a thumb drive you carry with you like a key.

Jagos

Well, there are things this forum could do in order to create something out of tragedy.  I know that being an unofficial forum can be a little off-putting, but it could be that a dedicated group of people could begin to work hard on making this place the place to be.

Some ideas could be in getting a Reddit for the MN9 Universe forums and having it so that more things come up here like the fan art that forces people to take notice.

Just my thoughts.

Been away from both forums (only peeking in and out) for a bit due to work and just life in general, it's pretty evident that you're spot on with your observation.  There's barely any updates or talk about the game, and both forums really suffer because of it.  It just feels stagnant and any post activity are done by the same people over asinine things, and I'm not just referring to the "off topic" stuff.  Actual discussion regarding the game feels pointless and difficult to do when we barely know anything about the game to begin with.

We could have at least had an interesting group of members to goof with in the Off Topic section, but that clearly got ruined by with all the biased moderating that split the community up.  The only reason I hang around now is so that I don't miss any updates and so that I can voice my opinion when needed.  Terrible to think that backer feedback will mostly come for the forums, where only a small portion of us actually log into, and I for one wouldn't want them to speak for me.

That bastard really dared. Wow. Sucks to be him.

TechnoWolf

He should've placed the word "spiffy" somewhere in his post. This would've saved him.

It's the official forum's equivalent to the stars in Mario.

TheCloudyEye

The guy must really love Siberia. Can't think of any other reason why he wants to go there.

TechnoWolf

Bah,

this forum was a joke anyway. Never thought great of it, wanted to believe it could get better at first, but I rapidly stopped believing anything when I saw how Dina & Heatman were handling management.

I won't bother them with my opinion as they couldn't care less.
