Same here, I squad for Humble Bundles, pre-owned games from Gamestop, Black Friday sales, Amazon sales, etc. and saved A LOT last year. :) I stick with F2P games when there is a lull in good game releases.  I think the PS Vita is going to dominate this year as well.  Lots of interesting titles on the way.

I hope so, I've only got a few games for mine (mostly from my plus account).

I'm really looking forward to Demon Gaze. Should be a great dungeon crawler.

I've also pre-ordered Ys: Memories of Celceta and Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God. Both come out on the 22nd Feb in Europe so got a bit of waiting to do. Here's hoping for more good Vita titles down the line.

Of course, there are games like Tales of Symphonia Chronicles on PS3 which can't be missed! Looking forward to this years gaming. :)

Picked up Smart As (great presentation and fun mini games), Soul Sacrifice (Inafune's horror is genius!), and Gravity Rush (cute super hero girl adventure!) last month, all really good titles.  I get the feeling Vita devs try extra hard to make great games since they are taking a big risk putting them on a low selling platform.  I think this is what made me fall in love with the Vita so fast.  Heck, I only had it for a month and it's easily my favorite handheld since..the PSP!

You are going to LOVE Y's.  It's an amazing game and I couldn't put it down!

I had my eye on Demon Gaze as well, but I never seem to be able to stick to a 1st person crawler (1st person battles bore me to DEATH), so I am giving up on the genre (SMT IV was it).

There is a certain card battler I have my eye on though and it's coming this Spring. :) The, uh, leveling mechanic seems cringe worthy, but I'm reading that it has a really great and challenging card battle system underneath.  If you know of the title, you probably know why I didn't name it on this forum.

It's not a secret the Vita is the otaku handheld, which is good and anyone can see it's been like that with the PSP and the PS3 too (Despite Xbox 360 initially catering to that crowd with Idolm@ster and vertical STGs) and it'll happen eventually with the PS4 too.

The bad thing is not knowing japanese and having to wait until games get localized.

Get Oboro Muramasa.

Wait for God Eater 2 and Phantasy Star Online 2 to get localized.

I've got the old Wii version and I hate re-buying titles. Might get it when it hits the bargain bin on Vita.

I've given up on PSO2. That's never being localized and SEGA know it. I play the Japanese version on PC. God Eater 2's been in translation for a while now too but no real news of a western release. D3 Publishing sucks though so I'm not surprised.

Swan Dive

Muramasa looks amazing on the Dolphin Wii emulator already, so I'd have no reason to downgrade.  Also yea, remakes are starting to annoy me.  I refuse to buy the same game twice also. >_<

Yeah, I heard the original PSO ENG community ticked off SEGA quite a bit, being rude and hacking the game so much.  Thanks to their shenanigans we will never seen an English version of PSO2.  I still play the translated PSO2 on the PC though. :) It's a lot easier these days with PSO Tweaker.  ;)

Also, Wildstar is looking preeeety awesome imo.  They just showed off their customization features.  http://www.wildstar-online.com/en/news/ ... ldstar.php

Exclusive DLC episodes.

Swan Dive

The new DLC was the Tales of Nekomata right?

But DLC... Dat Locked Content.  Better to buy a new game in my opinion.  :becksad

Ryusei

There'll be 5 DLC episodes, each with its own protagonist.

Ep 1. Nekomata

Ep 2. Farmer

Swan Dive

Well, that's actually pretty awesome. ^^

Oh no, Freemium cash grab? T_T

Ryusei

I'd rather play it before judging it. The TGS2013 official streams showing footage of people playing were kinda confusing regarding the formula and what the player is supposed to do in each map. It was a very early version though, and the latest trailer has shown combat in groups like Monster Hunter so there's hope it'll be good even the basic free level.

Ryusei

Looks like shit

And nothing of value was lost.

Good for those who didn't play it already.

Yeah, all those are lookin' preeeety boring for me.

2033 Metro Last Light (and other things) is free on PSN now! http://blog.us.playstation.com/2014/02/ ... r-members/

Personally I liked Metro 2033 prequel a lot, but those gas masks made it frustrating and I quit because it saved my game as my mask ran out..

Swan Dive

I wonder how much that will hurt them?  Business must be bad in the West.  Never was into CAVE games myself, I don't know anyone who is either.
