It's a mystery to me, but I know that a number of banned users have migrated to this site. I also know that there are people that have a tendency to dislike moderators on principle, since some people see it only as a job meant for the purpose of censorship and such.

Well, a number of banned users wouldn't have had to migrate here at all if, you know, we hadn't been banned on meaningless grounds. You weren't a moderator when the majority of banned users who are here were banned, so you're not at fault, and even if you had been, I'm sure that a moderator's impact on bans there is very little, though I am curious just how much you people know. Depending on how many people there are with Dina's level of power, as well as her level of self control, they're the only people to blame in this situation.



As for being a moderator having no purpose but censorship, that's uninformed, I certainly hope no one here has fallen into such a poor mindset. Moderation or leadership in general is only censorship when the person with the job is inherently inclined to censorship, which in my opinion makes them a terrible human being. Your being here, however, is a show of good faith on your part, and I feel that you're a trustworthy individual.



I'll be back on the official forums on Monday, unless they conveniently forget to undo my ban. If there's anything you'd like to tell me regarding "how much you people know", PM me knowing that it'll be a secret kept to me.

The only thing I asked for was simple information and not to be insulted by a vague "Dear User, thank you for your request, unfortunately..." response. Which is exactly what I got lol.I even mentioned it in one of the emails that I sent too.



Also, I don't plan on coming back to those forums even after my ban expires. If I do it will be for rare occasions, maybe another vote or something. I might make one post when the ban expires addressing all of this, but other than that, I've made my peace with the situation.

Yeah, I figured. Not sure what the deal is, but I've been hearing that they're taking issues of sharing information really seriously. I'm guessing it's a cultural thing, because I've never seen any other site want to keep so much private.

Doubtful, if I go back with optimism and get burned again I'll only have myself to blame. Maybe if dialog was set up between myself and someone that could provide me with answers I'd be more willing but I highly doubt that will ever happen.

I've stated before on the forums that I don't agree with everything that's been done. That includes the ban you received. I can't say that I'm able to see all the details of what happened though. You are right however that those choices aren't left up to me in the end, even now that I am a mod. Unfortunately, I can't change what's already been done, I can only attempt to move how things are handled in a direction that doesn't allow for problems like what we've already seen.

I don't expect there will be any problems, although I don't know if the bans are on an automatic timer, so it might be 30 days +/- a few hours or so. If it starts to take too long (a few days), send us an e-mail over at the mods address that was set up, and I'll see what I can do.



It also occurs to me that just using my old avatar image doesn't prove that I am who I say I am. Here's something that will work better for that.

The official forums have been rather slow as of late.  So I have been either there or Kickstarter comments.  Though I have not been on the kickstarter comments much as of late either.  I usually go back and forth though.  I do make it apparent to see if the others are doing well.
