Here you can post about your dreams and or nightmares of course. xP Anyway I had a pretty strange dream this morning before waking up for a second time. First off I heard some truck pull up outside so I get up to investigate it, and it's a ambulance for pets. I saw a few people and one of those people were carrying a Siamese cat. I felt sorry for the owner, but then all of a sudden one of my co-workers appear next to me, and one of the vets walks up to us and starts hitting on her. xD (In real life she's a lesbian too... :V) All of a sudden it switches over to this next part. Two random dudes were walking around in my apartment and they were apparently some maintenance guys. In my dream I was sleeping, but I heard them talking and then I woke up in my dream. I noticed them and said "Oh hey I heard you guys talking." And they started asking me weird questions and kept saying that the neighbor's floor above us was going to collapse soon. And then the mail person apparently crashed into the front door and delivered a package to me. xD Apparently at this point though I was outside talking to the maintenance guys when some random little girl grabs my package and I try my best to run towards her and the mail man to grab the package seeing how it wasn't her's, then I woke up. :V

There are quite a few dreams I had where the alarm clock went off in the dream I had and I ended up turning it off, then the real alarm clock went off and I proceeded to turn it off again in my dream and I ended up smashing the thing.  I woke up and I realized "Oh, yeah...that"

Same thing can happen when you hear sounds.  If you can sleep through a garbage truck doing it's job, it may look like something else completely in the dream because you can still hear what is going on outside but your mind takes form of whatever it is in the dream, and that can be anything.

TheRaven

That's happened to me plenty of times. xD I also suffered from sleep paralysis this morning too... I hate when that happens, when your mind is awake but your body isn't. Many people do this so they can lucid dream, but honestly the only time it happens to me is when I'm wanting to wake up... >_> It really sucks when that happens. I've been waiting for a package to arrive here so that's probably why I dreamed such a strange dream... I was paranoid and thought that I would miss them knocking at the door so I just kept falling in and out of sleep.

Quattro Bajeena

it's always the undead, which makes sense the one thing I have no understanding of is life after death after all, if I start thinking about that crap it keeps me awake at night

Swan Dive

I always have a hard time remembering my dreams.  The memories of them seem to fade shortly after waking up.

I'm much the same way, I don't retain them after waking up. I guess some would consider that a good thing though.

Swan Dive

Yeah, dreams aren't always so pleasant.  I'm still a little jealous how people I know can "lucid dream" (control dreams like you were the Matrix itself) though.

TheRaven

They say the trick to lucid dreaming is to put yourself into sleep paralysis. Stay completely still for a given amount of time will do that to you, but sleep paralysis sucks ass... >_>

Swan Dive

Yeah, when I get sleep paralysis, something really scary or creepy usually happens, kind of like a living nightmare (from what I read, that's normal..?).  I can invoke it really easily just by sleeping on my back, so I have a habit of not sleeping on my back.

TheRaven

Yeah they say that people are known to see "shadow figures", I've seen one from the corner of my eye once while spending the night at my girlfriend's house. (Before we moved in together, and her room was haunted I swear...)

Ryusei

For some reason i have better luck dreaming if i wake up very early (as in 5am) and then sleep some more.

Swan Dive

I had a nightmare last night that two giant spiders were attached to my ceiling in a web.  I hate spiders, I really do.  I tore my shoulder the last time I saw one because I flailed so hard (one landed on my face when I woke up before)..*sigh* Now I have an immense fear of a spider waiting for me above my bed and have reoccurring nightmares about those demon spawn.

I am an avid dreamer. they are often wacky. I always write them down somewhere. They happen often, but sometimes there are dry spells. I love my dreams. Last time I had a nightmare was when I was around 8.

This link has a bunch of my most wacky, most family friendly dreams.

Your latest dream sounds peaceful and epic. Are you into urban exploration? :) I often find myself dreaming about exploring abandoned buildings as my girlfriend doesn't want me to in real life, even though I want to so bad. Dx It's been probably a few months since I had a nightmare...

TheRaven

Double post because I remember my dream from this morning. Well I remember some pieces of it that is... In this dream I was apparently a hero and was dating a chick that I honestly don't know in real life but she wasn't my real girlfriend. :V She was hot but meh that's besides the point. I really don't remember anything else about this dream...
