It should be noted that someone needs to call out Comcept on misinformation in regards to the website/forums.  A while back someone posting the question about forum upgrades and free modules and a mod(Dina, I think?) said it was 3rd party created, AKA gotta pay someone to upgrade the forums.  This podcast says the opposite(comcept getting to work on the forums), so someone needs to pop the question about this detail.

It was indeed Dina who said that Comcept outsourced the forum to a 3rd party developer:

Though they didn't explicitly said that they are updating the forum themselves. It could mean they are pushing the forum issue with their 3rd party developer.

Quote from: Mighty No. 1046 PetiteMightyThe issue is more complex, especially because the drupal forums are not being used in their basic forum but are integrated with the official website. These were designed by the same company (not in-house) that comcept hired for the job. The website itself cost quite a bit to design and host as you might imagine, and any changes we want to incur in it have to be implemented by the company itself. In other words even if I were to go in and activate a few helpful modules myself, though the option is physically available, the interface needed to operate them within the custom-built format of this website isn't.
