Quote from: ShiroyamiDeleting your Kickstarter account does nothing to your future rewards from projects you've already backed, right?
Unless comcept is dumb enough not to keep a copy of all the email accounts that donated to the kickstarter, then your rewards are set in stone.

Email them to be sure:

mightyno9[at]comcept.jp

info{at}comcept.co.jp

I assume they are going forward with the original donation account, not the one in the forums. I know of at least 4 people that have gotten email from comcept with the original donation email, not the forum one.

And confirm with us back, I am interested on their answered, since I plan to do the same as MechaGS on this.

We do get e-mails from comcept from time to time (login information, Call Vote polls) so it'd be weird if they didn't. I don't think there'll be any problems. I'll send them an e-mail just in case.

Awesome. Looks like TheCloudyEye also did so in the forums as well:

Hopefully we do get word from comcept.

MechaGS

Since a few nights ago, I've had someone trying to access my Kickstarter E-Mail address and signing me up for services like Pinterest and other places.

I'm really not in the mood for any of this crap at the moment. :(

TheRaven

Now that sounds annoying Mecha... I hope you can get it all straighten out soon! I haven't had anything like that happen that I know of, but I haven't checked my emails today...

Should I assume the one here differs? If not, you have your answer to the trolls lurking this site. If so, then wow, that was semi-fast. I know I need to scrub my accounts as soon as I have word from comcept that they no longer need the KS accounts, since they should have our email accounts.

I am furious, since there's still that theory that comcept may not have access to both the domain and the server, so they can't make changes themselves if they wanted to, esp. in the security department. If a big leak or injection happens in http://mighytyno9.com, I am truly going to pack.

I just received a response from comcept and...

Spoiler
Quote from: MeQuick question: does deleting your Kickstarter account compromise your future rewards for backing Mighty No.9 in any way?

After the recent database leak on the site, I decided to delete my account since its only purpose was to back Mighty No. 9 and I have saved all e-mails related to the backing process from comcept, Amazon and Kickstarter.

Thank you for your time,

Mighty No 60130, Shiroyami

Quote from: ResponseHello Mighty Shiroyami,

We're currently looking into a way around the issue and will inform you of the result asap.

We would like for you to receive your rewards, of course, so we are working towards that.

Thank you for your patience,

The Mighty No. 9 Team

...not exactly the response I was expecting. I assumed their database was more than enough to identify backers and the like.

Bolowors

This is ridiculous! I hope they are not saying they don't have our e-mails stored in a different place...

Insults and criticism aside, I'm not exactly surprised with this response considering the technical problems they've been having with getting username & passwords to all the backers and the forum itself.  Also I recall a somewhat similar concern was brought up already, about people who managed to get a chargeback and to ensure that they DON'T get the rewards they initially were promised.

Hopefully they do get their act together and setup some kind of an internal database to keep track of things like this.

All B&B aside, the bad customer service doesn't surprise me.

Yeah, they're very different. The one I used for KS is basically for backing and funding use. It's easier to follow updates, etc on what I have backed and what I may back in the future.

It's one I've never told anyone about and basically was linked to KS, IndieGogo, Humble Bundle and a few other bundle sites.

I backed MN9 via Paypal (which is linked to a different e-mail address than my KS one was) so I don't have this issue. It's ashame to see they didn't collate the Kickstarter information properly though.

I hope they sort this out for those wishing to leave Kickstarter behind.

Shiroyami

I deleted my Kickstarter account before receiving their responses but I do have the confirmation/payment e-mails so if push comes to shove, I'll have more than enough proof I backed the project.

I mean, I wasn't even going to pledge any money because I knew they're get more than enough money without my contribution... but in the end, the exclusive forum access tempted me so i went ahead and gave them U$20 to guarantee myself a copy of the game. Since the forums are pretty much unusable at this point...

At the least you were responded that they are looking into it. Hopefully we get word soon. I am ready to push the button.

For me it was the promised feedback they said they were going to consider, or community involvement. I am still infuriated that they are just toying with us.

Good call, cause I wouldn't be surprised if you need those emails in the future.

As for the exclusive forum access, I think it's safe to say that a lot of us are pretty disappointed with it.  I mean, look at this forum.  It's perfectly functional and I didn't  have to pay a cent to use it!  Is the $5 going towards exclusive information?  It seems like half the stuff gets leaked to the media before it even gets to us!  I...I just don't get it.

Nothing would surprise me at this point. I don't know a thing about creating websites but I'm pretty sure that an user database is essential no matter how you look at it. Sure, no one would've noticed a thing if it weren't for KS being hacked but still.

Yeah, it surprises me how this forum surpasses the official paid one in just about every aspect. That and if the official forums are going to suck, the least they could've done is to make the information there accessible only to backers or an early access, even. The way things are, hanging around there is a waste of time.

That's what you get for not getting into trouble with the mods, I guess.

I'm not too vocal about my concerns or opinions and I'm sure the game'll awesome even without feedback but I do understand why people are angry about it.
