Mega Man Zero were the most awesome thing ever. Mega Man Zero is the most awesome thing that ever happenned to the Megaman franchise.

As for Mighty N°9 : there's a strong probability they made the stages larger for the dash ; this may be an impression, but it seems Beck's damage hitbox is bigger whenever he dashes.

Jagos

Okay... Finally finished the Inafune Report.

Decided not to add music except where needed but what IS there should be memorable.  I'm going to upload it tomorrow... Hopefully.  Or I could wait until Inafune releases the game sometime this century.  What're your thoughts, boys and girls?

TheCloudyEye

Your call. Don't know if people still care enough about this project to watch it though, I know I stopped caring a long time ago. Might want to wait until they made a big announcement of some sort to get people's attention.

Jagos

 Welp, first one is up.

I give ya'll some time to digest it while I fix the last part of it.

TheCloudyEye

Well, turns out I still care enough to watch the whole thing. Glad to see you made Dina nothing more than a footnote, she was never the real issue to begin with.

Interesting to know about what happened with Shaq Fu 2, the whole thing seems really messed up. I don't think MN9 is on the same level of bullshit as Shaq Fu, but there's definite some similarity there.

Finally got around to watching the video and it got me interested.  Really looking forward to your next one!

Also agree that what happened with Shaq Fu 2 didn't happen the exact same way with Mighty No 9.  Although getting Deep Silver involved and having them eventually paying for Voice Acting and Ray DLC is somewhat similar and getting FUZE to help fund Red Ash near the end of the campaign is pretty gosh darn close.

 Update:

I got a copyright strike from the 3rd Video and it's been taken down.  I'm dealing with that as the second one is going to be posted tomorrow.

Overall, if they decide to sue me in court, it's going to be pretty damn expensive for them.  It's a 17 minute video and I used a 3 minute song.  They silenced the video, so I contested it.  They took down the video even when I changed the song, so the Victor company doesn't really have a leg to stand on.  Still, JVC isn't as large in America, so to get any sort of economic relief for a Youtube video that wasn't even monetized and was merely a part of a documentary for a small niche fanbase is going to be a fight.

So we'll see how it goes.  They've got a bit of time to process this and I got a copyright strike.  I can't upload the last video but the second one is on track.

Kinda sucks, but I'll see if I can't just put together a new Youtube channel since I lost so much on this one.

Well, if it is about copyright, upload the raw video elsewhere, maybe a place that maxes files at 20GB and has a chat interface. I used dailymotion just fine. If what you want is youtube, upload it, I can use or create an account to upload it.

Vice has no say in the documentary.

TheCloudyEye

Strange. How come no one mentioned that new MN9 official website yet...

...Oh right. No wonder nobody was able to find it.

Yeah, that's happening soon.  I figure that I'd watch the criticisms and address those before moving on.

Man... Two years have passed since I started this and a LOT of people helped influence its creation.  Hopefully, it does the MM and MN9 community justice because they really got deceived for so long.

If anything else happens, I may update this, but for the most part, share it as you see fit.

The Director's Edition will be up when I finish the video on the stuff people hit me with as this was going up.

TechnoWolf

I've been following your whole documentary (even the part 4 ; and even asked a question which you answered to btw)...

... and I gotta say : if half of what you say is true, then my respect for Inafune has crashed beyond repair, AND my respect for Capcom has risen.

It's kind of amazing that back in 2013 : Capcom was stuck in mud with their aggressive DLC policy & Inafune was shining with a golden halo to the fans of the Megaman franchise. The whole consensus was :

Capcom just want to make quick money with DLC & mobile gaming
Capcom hates Megaman because they are bitter Inafune left.

This is the core mentality that build the MN9 kickstarter & community. Today again, you can see people even on Capcom Unity shouting "I hope Comcept mops the floor with you"

While what you're saying implies : Capcom got in deep sh*t because of Inafune's business & cancelled the megaman projects to prevent losing money any further, and their recent remake policy is their way of trying to go back into the industry at full force (even though it's fairly obvious they're being semi-bought by Sony : no Street Fighter V on Xbox ONE....)

That is a weird turn of event

back in 2013 : everybody hated Capcom : the gamers, the youtubers, etc...

today : the tides might turn IF people realize the truth.

Jagos

From the looks of it, people just want to complain and ignore the truth.  All I can do is tell you what happened based on my observations, right, wrong, ugly, or otherwise.

I'm not telling you Capcom was perfect.  Neither was Inafune.  But the circumstances of what happened and what got pushed by both created a series of events that basically screwed over the consumers of Mega Man.  I have a bigger project planned in order to get a better understanding of the gaming industry underway so wish me luck in the new year, but as it stands, this is what I found.

I think someone else is looking into this and going to see what they figure out.

Should be fun to see what others look and get out of the stories.

TechnoWolf

Well, happy new year & good luck to you in this last days of January 2016. It's always a pleasure watching your reports, so I'm lookin' forward to it =)

And happy new year to all of you still reading this thread, and guys...  How can we best start this new year wonderfully full of promises ??
