So, after 30 years, it seems that one of the biggest mystery in the video game industry is going to be resolved. Last Saturday, work has begun on excavating the site where millions of Atari game cartridges were supposedly buried in 1983. The things they've pulled up so far are quite interesting.

*Update: According to this article (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/stor ... =307031037), the number of buried cartridges in the landfill is around 728,000. Also in this article, it was said that the city of Alamogordo plan to give the documentary team 250 cartridges and sell the rest.

I remember hearing about how E.T. was so bad they buried tons of copies of the game in a landfill... I didn't really believe it but when I read that a few cartridges were dug up on Saturday I was shocked. I mean the game sucks but why waste the time and energy to bury many copies? Ah well still it's cool to see that the story has finally been cleared and we got a answer.
